RCMP have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at a north Red Deer BMO bank on March 14.

RCMP have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at a north Red Deer BMO bank on March 14.

Red Deer RCMP say the man was taken into custody without incident at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday at a residence in the Glendale neighbourhood.

Patrice Gauthier, 56, faces charges of armed robbery with firearm, disguise with intent to commit offence, and failure to comply with probation order.

A man robbed the 67th Street BMO outlet with a handgun and demanded cash from a teller.

Gauthier was to appear in Red Deer provincial court on Friday morning.
