A 31-year-old Innisfail man has been accused of setting a Nov. 6 house fire in the town.
Extensive damage was done to a garage and home, which was unoccupied at the time.
Innisfail Fire Department responded to the blaze and alerted police when it appeared foul play may be involved.
Innisfail RCMP arrested and charged the suspect.
“RCMP believe this was a targeted incident and do not believe the public to be at risk,” police said in a Friday news release.
The suspect was charged with arson and is due in Red Deer provincial court on Dec. 13.
