A triple-murder suspect in southern Alberta is facing two new charges of sexual assault and sexual contact with a minor.

LETHBRIDGE — A triple-murder suspect in southern Alberta is facing two new charges of sexual assault and sexual contact with a minor.

It was not immediately clear if the latest charges against Austin Vielle are related to the murder case.

Vielle appeared in Lethbridge provincial court Thursday on closed-circuit television.

He is accused of second-degree murder in the stabbing deaths in April of Kyle Devine, Clarissa English and her brother Dakota.

Police allege the accused was known to all three victims and had been in their company prior to their deaths.

Vielle’s next court appearance is set for July 8.
