A 45-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter following an altercation at Samson First Nation.
On Sunday, Colin Reed was arrested at the residence where Neil Omeasoo, 55, died of his injuries on the scene.
Reed was charged following an investigation led by RCMP Major Crimes South.
Reed was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin provincial court on Tuesday.
