Rocky Mountain House RCMP arrested and charged a 25-year-old man on Wednesday after a lengthy investigation into child pornography.

In September 2012, RCMP and ALERT’s southern Internet Child Exploitation Team (ICE) began an investigation into allegations that a male was in possession of child pornography.

RCMP charged the man, whose name isn’t being released, with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography. The male is set to appear in Rocky court at a later date.

The name of the accused will not be released due to the nature of the offences.

Due to an ongoing investigation, no further details are being released, said Rocky spokesman Sgt. Michael Numan.
