A Calgary man is facing drunk driving charges after a truck collided with six vehicles and a lamppost in Red Deer.
Red Deer RCMP said they were called about 6 p.m. on Sunday by someone whose vehicle had been hit by a black truck. The vehicle took off heading north on 30th Avenue.
After getting more calls, police tracked the truck down in Lancaster, where it collided with a number of vehicles and a lamppost, which toppled on to a nearby home.
No one was injured and the driver was restrained by a nearby resident until police arrived and arrested the suspect without incident.
A 36-year-old is facing numerous charges, including impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
If anyone’s property was damaged in the incident, they are asked to report it to the Red Deer police detachment.
