An autopsy has determined a 74-year-old Wetaskiwin man whose body was found on a road in the community was the victim of homicide.
Maskwacis RCMP responded to a call about an unresponsive man lying on the Herman-Minde Road, east of Highway 2A, at about 8:15 a.m. last Sunday.
“Responding RCMP officers determind that the male was deceased and the circumstances appeared suspicious,” said RCMP.
The RCMP’s major crimes unit was called in to lead the investigation.
