Man has ‘several gun shot wounds;’ Blackfalds RCMP investigating

Blackfalds RCMP is investigating after a man was shot.

Police were dispatched to a rural location west of town on Friday, where the man, who had several gunshot wounds, was being treated by medical staff.

He was later taken by STARS air ambulance from Red Deer to Edmonton for further treatment. The victim is in stable, but serious condition.

Police say the general public is not believed to be at risk.
