CALGARY — Charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon have been laid against a 40-year-old Calgary taxi driver who is accused of striking a passenger.
Police got word Wednesday evening about an altercation involving a cabbie and his passenger at a northeast-area gas station.
Officers arrived to find a man who investigators say had been struck on the head with a blunt object.
The alleged victim, who is from Calgary, remains in life-threatening condition.
Hintsa Oqubu will be in court May 31st.
Police say they are looking for witnesses.
