A Blackfalds man jumped from roof to roof evade police in the Grandview neighbourhood.
On Tuesday, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on a side street off 40A Avenue at 2:30 p.m. They located the car and the man immediately fled.
He ran through residential yards then took to the roofs, jumping from rooftop to rooftop between 32 Street and 39 Street.
Police officers gave chase on foot while more officers contained the area. The suspect surrendered to police and came down from the roof when it was apparent he had been surrounded. The car, a blue Mazda, had been reported stolen out of Red Deer on May 29.
A 23-year-old Blackfalds man is facing charges.
