Man pleads guilty in deadly motorcycle crash

A man charged in connection with a fatal crash that killed a motorcycle passenger has pleaded guilty.

A man charged in connection with a fatal crash that killed a motorcycle passenger has pleaded guilty.

Bradley Dean Blain, 52, pleaded guilty to failing to proceed safely after stopping at an intersection. He was fined $2,000 for the Aug. 26 incident.

At about 12:30 that day, Rocky Mountain House RCMP were called to the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwys 11 and 756 just west of Rocky Mountain House.

A man and woman were travelling west on Hwy 11 on a motorcycle while an SUV was at a stop sign, facing south. Police said the SUV proceeded from the stop sign and the motorcycle hit the driver’s side of the SUV.

Both the male and female from the motorcycle were airlifted by STARS Air Ambulance to Foothills Hospital in Calgary. The female later died in hospital.
