A man charged with stealing a truck and running over the owner has pleaded guilty to dangerous driving causing death.

Alexander Michael Talbot, 25, was charged with manslaughter and vehicle theft after Dawson “D.J.” Wegner Cramer was killed last March 16 trying to stop the theft of his truck in Normandeau.

It was later found abandoned elsewhere in the city.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued for Talbot’s arrest and police had him in custody by March 25.

Talbot pleaded guilty to the lesser charge in a Red Deer Court appearance last Monday.

He is next due in court on Feb. 27.

An alleged accomplice, Amanda Jo-Lynn Larsen was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. Her case is still before the courts.
