Man robbed at gunpoint

A man and woman sought by Red Deer RCMP after a man held up at gunpoint last Thursday

Red Deer RCMP are looking for a man and a woman who attempted to rob a man at gunpoint as he left a bank last Thursday morning.

Police said a man walked out of a north Red Deer bank about 6:15 a.m., got into his vehicle and was then approached by the pair. The victim was asked for a cigarette and then money was demanded.

The man pointed a handgun at the victim, at which point the victim accelerated out of the parking lot. The suspects were seen leaving the area of Gaetz Avenue and 68th Street on foot.

RCMP searched the area but did not locate the suspects.

The male suspect is described as 1.68m (five-foot-six) and about 20 years old. He was wearing a black coat, red track pants and a blackhat with a football logo.

The female suspect is described as Aboriginal, about 1.68m (five-foot-six), with shoulder-length straight black hair. She is about 30 years old with a heavy-set build and was wearing a black zip-up hoodie and had a number of rings on her right hand.

Anyone with information should contact the Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575. If you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or report it online at If your information leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000.
