A man was run over by a car when he tried to stop a man who was trying to steal gas from his rural property southeast of Red Deer early Saturday morning.
The man was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre after he attempted to stop the suspect by hanging onto the driver’s side window.
He was dragged for a short distance before being run over by the car as the driver fled. The incident started at 3:45 a.m.
