An Edmonton man will be sentenced in February after pleading guilty to luring a child on the Internet and then sexually assaulting her.

Adrian August Lizotte, 26, pleaded guilty to sexual assault and luring a child over the Internet when he appeared in Red Deer provincial court on Friday.

Two other sex-related charges are expected to be withdrawn once sentencing proceeds on Feb. 10.

The case was adjourned so that defence lawyer Richard Fritze could obtain a pre-sentence report and a risk assessment to be performed by a psychiatrist or psychologist.

No facts were read since Fritze and Crown prosecutor Jenny Rees of Calgary are at odds over a couple of issues yet.

Lizotte, who was in jail for a time before his release on May 30, was released on $10,000 no cash bail.
