Ponoka RCMP are looking for a suspect in connection to the armed robbery of a liquor store.

RCMP said they were called at about 10 p.m. on July 14 after a male with bear spray demanded money at the till.

Three other males grabbed bottles of liquor. No bear spray was deployed, and the store clerk was not injured.

Two of the males allegedly involved were identified by the Ponoka RCMP. Charges were laid and arrest warrants were issued.

On July 24, Brandon Alexander Morin, of Samson First Nation, was arrested in Maskwacis, and charged with robbery and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. He was released to attend court on Aug. 16 in Ponoka.

Donovan Rain, 27, of Samson First Nation, was charged with one count of robbery and one count of disobeying a court order. He has not been located and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Rain is described as Indigenous, five foot five and 175 pounds. He has a goatee and a tattoo under both eyes.

The other two suspects have not yet been identified by RCMP.

Anyone with information about the incident, or the whereabouts of Rain, is asked to call Ponoka RCMP at 403-783-4472 or contact their local police department.
