A pickup truck rammed into a Parkland Mall store.

Cpl. Michael Evans said the crash resulted in extensive property damage Sunday to the outside of a tobacconist shop.

“It’s the front portion of the vehicle – just sort of the bumper – that collided and took out the glass doors of where Shefield and Sons’ exterior side of it is, and just that door area,” said Evans.

No injuries are reported.

Evans said the truck was reported stolen by its owner Saturday evening from the Gaetz Avenue and 19th Street area.

Then on Sunday, at around 12:50 p.m., the stolen truck was spotted near the mall.

“He had a flat, and driving erratically in the parking lot brought it to the attention of the public, and then they called us,” said Evans, adding there were many witnesses to the incident in the mall’s parking lot area.

The alleged driver of the stolen pickup, Nicholas Krock, of no fixed address, is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, operating a motor vehicle in a manner dangerous to the public and operating a motor vehicle while prohibited to do so.
