Two men, including one who got stuck in a roof vent on Mountview School while allegedly trying to flee police, are facing charges.

Two suspects were seen around 12:45 p.m. last Saturday in a car with a stolen licence plate. They fled and were not pursued.

A short time later, RCMP questioned the driver of a pickup truck bearing a licence plate that did not match the vehicle.

The pickup was located in the Mountview area. RCMP found a 23-year-old man who was driving the earlier stolen vehicle and placed him under arrest. The stolen car from earlier in the day was also found nearby.

Police detained a second man, who allegedly fled and was chased on foot. He climbed onto the roof of Mountview Elementary School and became stuck in a ceiling vent.

The 28-year-old male surrendered and sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries that required he be taken to hospital.

Logan Nottal, 23, of Red Deer is facing six charges including theft under $5,000, flight from police, driving a vehicle causing bodily harm and other driving offences

Nottal was due in Red Deer provincial court on Tuesday.

Tyler Dejonge, 28, of Red Deer, has been charged with 10 counts, including break and entering, resisting arrest, assaulting a police officer and a number of driving offences.

Dejonge is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 15.
