Martial Arts medal winner

Kacey Schram of Red Deer represented Canada in the World Martial Arts Games in Las Vegas on Sept. 17 and came away with three medals in the 14-to-17-year-old advanced division (green to brown belts with three to five or more years of experience).

Kacey Schram of Red Deer represented Canada in the World Martial Arts Games in Las Vegas on Sept. 17 and came away with three medals in the 14-to-17-year-old advanced division (green to brown belts with three to five or more years of experience). The medals included a gold in grappling. The 14-year-old also won a bronze medal in each of the sparring and Japanese hand forms-kata events. Schram’s success earned the Kempo-Karate green belt a berth in the Canadian Pan Games next year in Regina.
