A 21-year-old Maskwacis man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Maskwacis RCMP received a report of a shooting that occurred at a local convenience store at about 7:30 p.m. this past Thursday.
A 27-year-old Maskwacis male victim was transported to hospital, but later died from his injuries.
The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was deployed to take over the investigation. This led to the 21-year-old being charged.
RCMP is wanting to speak with anyone who was in the area of the Sampson Mall on Thursday, Sept. 1 that witnessed what occurred or has information related to this homicide.
