Maskwacis man facing charges after shot fired

A Maskwacis man is facing charges after a shot was allegedly fired following a fight near Wetaskiwin’s Queen Elizabeth School.

Wetaskiwin RCMP were called to a report of shots being fired near the school at about 1:20 p.m. Feb. 28.

“Members arrived on scene and located a male suspect near the school,” said police Monday. “Witnesses on scene identified the male as the shooter.”

Police allege a man got into a “physical altercation” and robbed another man. When the victim tried to leave, a shot was allegedly fired at him. He was not injured.

Bryatt Dreylan Threefingers, 23, of Maskwacis, was arrested, and he is facing numerous charges.
