Maskwacis man is arrested for firearm violations after an RCMP search

Ray Buffalo, 24, faces five charges

A Maskwacis man was charged by police and had his gun seized after the RCMP investigated a firearms complaint.

At about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Maskwacis RCMP responded to an emergency call on the Samson Cree Nation townsite.

The RCMP emergency response team assisted in executing the search warrant at a residence.

During the search, an illegal firearm was found.

Ray Buffalo, 24, of the Samson Cree Nation, was charged with five offences, including pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
