Maskwacis man wins more than $250k in lottery

Dustin Littlechild couldn’t believe his eyes.

After scanning his ticket from the Oct. 4 Lotto Max draw, the self-checker showed he had won $271,449.10.

“I scanned it several times before I believed what I was seeing,” the Maskwacis resident said this week. “I started sweating and feeling nervous.”

While considering what to do with his winnings, Littlechild has his family in mind.

“I would like to set up trust accounts for my children. It is a dream to help secure the future for my kids,” he said.

“I’d also like to pay off my truck and pay for my upcoming wedding next summer.”

Littlechild purchased his $16 Lotto Max quick pick at K&M Foods, located on Samson Avenue in Maskwacis.

He matched six of seven numbers, plus the bonus number. The winning numbers were 20, 31, 35, 36, 39, 42 and 44; the bonus number was 23.
