Maskwacis police looking for suspect after shooting

Police are seeking assistance to locate a man wanted for discharging a firearm with intent.

Maskwacis RCMP are seeking assistance to locate Travis Roasting.

Shots were fired into a residence on the Louis Bull First Nation near Maskwacis in the early morning hours of Jan. 26.

Several people, including children, were inside the home at the time, but they escaped injury.

Two suspects were identified and charged.

One of the suspects, 19-year-old Travis Roasting, of Maskwacis, has been evading police.

Maskwacis RCMP are requesting public assistance in locating Roasting, who is believed to be in the area.

The public are asked not to approach Roasting, who is wanted for discharging a firearm with intent, and instead, to contact police if he is seen.

Roasting is described as six feet, approximately 165 pounds, First Nations, with black hair and brown eyes.
