Maskwacis RCMP arrest three men after gun fired in residence

Maskwacis RCMP arrested and charged three men after a gun was fired in a residence Sunday.

Shortly after midnight, officers from the Maskwacis Community Response Unit were patrolling the Ermineskin townsite, when they heard a single shot fired, followed by people yelling within a residence.

Police approached the residence and detained three men and one woman. A male youth fled from police and was not located. No one was injured by the gunshot.

Officers found an SKS rifle and ammunition inside the residence.

Quenton Mykat, 24, Randall Littlechild, 32, and Francis Littlechild, 33, were charged in relation to the possession and careless use of the firearm. Each man faces additional individual charges.

Bear spray and a small amount of cocaine was located on one man.
