Maskwacis RCMP release image of stabbing suspect

Maskwacis RCMP is looking for help identifying an aggravated assault suspect.

On March 23, an RCMP member on patrol at Samson First Nation townsite came across a male who had been stabbed.

The 17-year-old victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is now in stable condition.

The victim was able to describe the suspect to an RCMP sketch artist. The suspect is described as an Indigenous man, about 40 years old, with a weathered look and acne scarring on his cheeks.

He was about five foot 11 and had facial hair.

Maskwacis RCMP are asking anyone who can identify the male, or with information regarding the incident, to call 780-585-3767.
