Maskwacis RCMP seize drugs

Police continue to investigate

Maskwacis RCMP seized 23 grams of crack cocaine and $2,400 after stopping a vehicle on Wednesday.

Maskwacis RCMP Community Response Unit initiated the traffic stop which resulted in charges against two women.

Rebecca Wahkeenew, 35, of Maskwacis, was charged with possession of cocaine the purpose of trafficking, and failing to comply with condition of undertaking or recognizance.

Carolyn Firingstoney, 32, of Maskwacis was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

RCMP want to encourage the public to report any suspicious activity in their community to reduce crime and help make their homes and communities safer.
