Maskwacis RCMP seeking suspect in fatal hit and run

A Maskwacis man was fatally injured after being hit early Saturday morning on Hwy 611

RCMP are looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run near Maskwacis on Saturday.

Maskwacis RCMP found a badly injured 38-year-old man on Highway 611 about 3:30 a.m. Emergency services and EMS also went to the scene near Range Road 245, also known as School House Road.

EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Police believe a black Jeep Grand Cherokee was involved in the collision, which remains under investigation.
