Seniors are invited to join Mayor Ken Johnston and Red Deer city councillors on June 6, from 2 to 4 p.m., for the Mayor’s Garden Party.
The indoor garden party, at Westerner Park’s Harvest Centre, will include an afternoon of entertainment, refreshments and games, with no specific dress code.
Complimentary parking will be available at Westerner Park due to road construction in the area. Only right-turns are permitted into Westerner Park from 19th Street. Take Gaetz Avenue to enter Westerner Park through 49th Avenue or 46th Avenue.
Seniors may also choose to take a complimentary shuttle from Sorensen Station. The shuttle will depart the bus station at 1:30 p.m. and will depart the Harvest Centre at 3:45 to return downtown.
