Deneen Justason, left, and her sisters Jodi Carver and Randalyn Kendall get a lesson in filling a Happy Meal from their niece Shelbie Kendall, a McDonald’s manager, at the southside McDonald’s Wednesday.

The siblings joined numerous other volunteers at all Alberta McDonald’s restaurants taking part in McHappy Day, when $1 from every Happy Meal, Big Mac, coffee and tea are donated to children’s charities.

Central Alberta proceeds will benefit the Ronald McDonald House construction effort.
