Fire investigators say a combustible material left on a stove caused a fire in Oriole Park home on Tuesday that caused in $3,000 damage.

Fire investigators say a combustible material left on a stove caused a fire in Oriole Park home on Tuesday that caused in $3,000 damage.

Red Deer Emergency Services personnel responded to the call at 3:53 p.m. at 119 Oakland Crescent. The fire was contained to the kitchen, but minor smoke damage occurred throughout the house.

No one was home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries.

EMS reminds the public to make sure they have working smoke alarms, and call 911 as soon as you see smoke or flames.
