A total of $4,000 in fines have been levied against a Mirror man who arrested on a series of offences in Innisfail, Lacombe, Morningside, Mirror and Erskine.
Trever Sten Haggkvist, 38, was charged with numerous offences by RCMP from Bashaw and Stettler investigating complaints of vehicles and equipment being stolen from multiple sites, as well as a charge of assault, mischief endangering life and various weapons offences.
Haggkvist pleaded guilty in Stettler provincial court on Thursday to six counts of possession of the proceeds of crime and two weapons offences, for which he was fined $500 apiece.
He was scheduled for trial in Stettler on Tuesday on a single count of assault. However, that trial did not proceed and was instead rescheduled to Dec. 12. The Crown has withdrawn additional charges laid in connection with that incident.
