Police are thanking the public for providing tips that helped to locate a missing 15-year-old Red Deer boy.

Red Deer City RCMP had sought the public’s assistance this week after Layton Wyatt disappeared after jumping out of a vehicle that was taking him to Red Deer hospital. The teen, who needed medical attention, was last seen running in the Clearview area.

On Thursday morning, the local RCMP detachment issued notice thanking the public and the media for its assistance. “Thanks . . . to the tips received from the public, the Red Deer RCMP have located the missing young person and he is doing fine.”
