Missionary surgeon to share experiences

A missionary surgeon who worked in Angola for nearly 30 years will share his experiences in Olds on April 3 and Red Deer on April 4.Dr. Stephen Foster will talk about the diverse medical issues facing his medical team and share experiences.

A missionary surgeon who worked in Angola for nearly 30 years will share his experiences in Olds on April 3 and Red Deer on April 4.

Dr. Stephen Foster will talk about the diverse medical issues facing his medical team and share experiences.

Foster is the 2010 Royal College Teasdale-Corti Humanitarian Award winner. Presented by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the award recognizes Canadian physicians who go beyond routine practice to deliver medical services worldwide.

The presentation starts at 7 p.m. at Legacy Village (4500-50st Avenue) in Olds. Parking is on the west side of 50th Avenue. Refreshments will be served.

He will speak at the Red Deer Public Library on April 4 at 10:30 a.m.
