The Environmental Services department will be conducting an emergency training exercise in the Pines neighbourhood on Monday, Monday between 10:00 a.m. and noon.

During the training exercise, residents may see Red Deer Emergency Services, Environmental Services and ATCO Gas vehicles in the area. Vehicle access and parking on Piper Drive may be restricted and detours will be in place.

“We do annual emergency training exercises to prepare our staff in the event of a real emergency,” the city says.

While this is a training exercise, residents are reminded to follow signs and stay alert when driving in the area.
