Monday through Saturday evening fixed-route service is returning to Red Deer Transit on Monday, Oct. 3.

Sunday and holiday service hours will not change at this time.

“We have continuously monitored demand for transit service since service was reduced during the pandemic,” said Jeremy Bouw, Transit & Fleet Services Manager. “We are confident these evening hours will better meet transit service demand for our evening commuters.”

Starting Monday, Oct. 3, Routes 2, 3 and 4 will operate on a one-hour schedule after 8 p.m.

There will also be a dynamic service shuttle that will serve as an outbound shuttle from Sorenson Station to any areas that are not serviced by Routes 2, 3, and 4.

The Route 1 and Route 12/Gasoline Alley schedules will remain unchanged. Sunday and holiday hours also remain unchanged.

Schedules are available on The City’s website at www.reddeer.ca/transit and the MyBus app.

As always, riders can contact the Transit Customer Service team at 403-342-8225 or transit@reddeer.ca for help planning their routes.
