Jeff Mackey installs a stone monument outside of Centennial Court located at 4702-33 Street early Wednesday afternoon. The monument commemorates the Kiwanis Club’s historic formation of the Red Deer Twilight Homes Foundation in 1954. The foundation was the first to build and operate affordable housing for seniors such as Centennial Court, said current foundation chair Keith Walker. The foundation paid $8,000 for the three-tone, sandblasted monument that was created by Lacombe company Canadian Rock Sign.
