Red Deer City RCMP have released more details about the stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Nov. 16.

Red Deer City RCMP have released more details about the stabbing incident that occurred in the early hours of Nov. 16.

Police say a 25-year-old man was stabbed during a physical dispute between a large group of men in the area of 4605 50th Ave. in downtown Red Deer around 1:38 a.m.

After the victim was stabbed, a male suspect between 23 and 25 years old jumped into a blue or green truck and fled the scene. A brunette female was believed to be the only other person in the truck.

The victim was taken to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre to be treated with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
