Red Deer city council will hear from residents about the proposed expansion of the Safe Harbour’s mat program in a public hearing on Monday.
The society is asking for approval to add six more spaces, bringing the total to 26 spaces at 5246 53rd Ave. The land use bylaw must be amended to accommodate the change.
The public hearing gets underway at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
Following the hearing, council will consider second and third reading.
Council will also hear updates on Monday on this year’s snow removal campaign and the Red Deer Airport at its regular meeting.
