A motorcyclist involved in a collision a week ago in Red Deer has died as a result of his injuries.

A GoFundMe account was set up for the family of Matthew Ryan Lewis Stark, 38, who died on Saturday after a collision with a pickup truck with an attached trailer unit on 55th Avenue in West Park at about 9 a.m. on July 20.

Stark suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Red Deer hospital before he was air lifted to Foothills Hospital in Calgary in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

Red Deer RCMP say the investigation into the collision continues.
