Blackfalds RCMP continue to investigate a collision that left a 40-year-old motorcyclist dead.
Police said the collision between the motorcycle and a pickup truck happened around 7 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Highway 2A and Range Road 271.
The pickup was travelling northbound on Highway 2A and collided with the southbound motorcycle in the intersection about five kilometres north of Blackfalds. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
Traffic was rerouted for several hours while the RCMP collision analyst conduct an examination.
