A 43-year-old man from Mountain View County has died after a multi-vehicle collision Sunday.
Just after 9:30 p.m., RCMP received a call of a serious multi-vehicle accident on Highway 22 near Range Road 43 in Mountain View County.
The 43-year-old motorcyclist from Mountain View County was pronounced dead at the scene. Another motorcyclist, a woman operating a second motorcycle, suffered non-life-threatening injuries that were treated in hospital.
The occupants of an SUV, a female driver, suffered minor injuries that were treated on scene, and the passenger was uninjured.
The 25-year-old female driver and lone occupant of a pick-up truck, from Mountain View County, involved in the collision, was located and arrested by police for impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
A preliminary police investigation indicates a pick-up truck was heading southbound on Highway 22 and attempted to overtake a van and lost control, striking an SUV travelling northbound. The pick-up truck then rolled several times into the oncoming northbound lane of traffic, colliding with two motorcycles that were travelling northbound.
