There’s so much about Red Deer that makes sense. A sense of community and family, a feeling of connection. A strong business sense driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a drive to succeed. A more diverse community that brings new strength and perspective to our city.
In 2021, we also face challenges that are difficult to make sense of. The downturn in our economy, a shift in the energy sector and the impact of COVID 19. Crime, addictions and homelessness that have taken a grip on our community. We need to make sense of all of this and make Red Deer better.
This is Our City…Our Future
The next four years will likely be one of the most challenging terms for city council in decades, making decisions and setting direction that will have a long term impact. We need to elect the strongest team possible that is ready to work together to make decisions with vision and courage. I want to be a part of that team.
A foundation for my work in education has always been ‘how are we best preparing students for their future?’ I believe the same principle needs to guide city council, ‘how are we creating our future so Red Deer has a strong economy and is a community that attracts families and businesses through a sense of community and a great quality of life

With 20 years experience as a senior administrator with Red Deer Public Schools I work closely with the board of trustees and superintendent, I bring relevant skills and experience, understanding governance, administration, and how to get things done.
I am known as a community builder, having served on the Red Deer and District Community Foundation, Youth HQ, AHS Health Advisory Council and the Board of Governors of Red Deer College, I’m also proud to be a Friend of Optimists and a member of the Rotary Club of Red Deer.
My diverse education in business administration, education, leadership, public relations management, community engagement, and government relations provides knowledge and skills to be an effective councillor.
My pledge to you is that I will serve with honesty, understanding, integrity, an open mind and with confidence. I will be accessible and connected. I will be champion for Red Deer – and most of all, I will stand for what is best for our city.
