Lisa Spencer-Cook is a Red Deer city council candidate.

Before the pandemic I owned LV’s Vinyl Cafe in downtown Red Deer.

The challenges faced as a single parent business owner were many, but during that time I was nominated twice for a Women of Excellence Award (Entrepreneur and Community Builder) and was a chamber Business of the Year award finalist. I won the Community Building Award by Red Deer Entertainment, and the Mayor’s Recognition Award for Community Building for my work in raising awareness for neurodiversity, my live music events, and my relentless advocacy for downtown Red Deer.

I am an advocate for the neurodiverse, and differently abled, and a lifelong LGBTQIA2s+ ally.

I’m a lover of all things music and the arts.

I’m eager to work, hopefully with many of these other fine candidates, all striving to make our city a place we can all be proud to live, work, raise our children in, and call home.
