Nicole Lydiard is a Red Deer city council candidate.
I have lived in Red Deer for greater than a decade raising my children, working and volunteering. I am a mother first, believing that it truly takes a village to raise kind, grateful and brave little people. As a health leader, nurse manager, I will bring that perspective to support the development of a more age friendly community, increase health equity and develop health access projects. Finally, I played three university level sports, golf, soccer and basketball. I will carry a team building collaborative approach to council discussions while emphasizing the value of recreation within our community. Red Deer has so much to offer, and in my opinion a desire to be innovative. As a member of council, I will direct my energy on the collective wellbeing by building opportunity, supporting our health system, stabilizing our economy and safeguarding equity and access by giving everyone the chance to thrive.
