Red Deer musician Jesse Roads will be rockin’ in the New Year at The Vat.

Roads will perform two sets at his Dec. 31 show — one to see out the old year, and another “to kick off the new year in style.”

Playing a mix of popular tunes from Tom Petty, Pink Floyd and The Tragically Hip, as well as original songs, including No Love and Sweet Alberta, Roads is billing his Dec. 31 show as a “night of Rock ‘n Roll sure to remember.”

The local singer/songwriter and musician has been broadening his audience in recent years. His music is now heard in more than 80 countries.

Roads’s latest album, Good Seats at a Funeral, is a collection of original folk-rock tunes that focus on “being positive and hopeful, about getting over things and getting through things, and knowing you are not alone.”

Tickets to the 7 p.m. New Year’s Eve show are available from The Vat.
