Name sought for new Red Deer Catholic school

  • Apr. 6, 2020 11:30 a.m.

Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools has found a site for its new middle school. Now, it needs a name for the facility that will house Grade 6 to 9 students.

“We are pleased to have secured a site for this new middle school and look forward to quickly moving into the design process, once the government has informed us of that budget,” said board chair Anne Marie Watson.

“It is important to finalize the name of the school, as that will help inform the design work.”

The district says the name should be a role model for staff. Visit http://tiny.cc/78gdmz for a list of the guidelines, and to submit your suggestion before April 30.

The district says trustees will make the final selection of the name based on feedback.

The new school, which received funding for its design last fall, will be located in Kingsgate, just north of Kingstone Drive.
