Red Deer Regional Health Foundation has a new chair leading its board of directors.
Bobbi Liebrecht was introduced at the foundation’s annual Report to the Community event held on Sept. 19 at Westerner Park.
“We’re excited to have Bobbi Liebrecht leading us during the long-awaited expansion project at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre,” said foundation CEO Manon Therriault, in a statement.
“As we work with AHS, volunteers, donors and partners in the coming years, collaboration will be critical and will set the stage as we embark on this new chapter together.”
Therriault also thanked outgoing board chair Dustin Eckstrand for his service and accomplishments over the past few years.
Therriault said that during his tenure, Eckstrand stressed the importance of strategic and sustainable thinking. Under Eckstrand, the foundation implemented new program research and changes, cost reduction and increased stewardship strategies, including a new hospital-wide naming and recognition program.
Red Deer Regional Health Foundation is a fundraising organization for Alberta Health Services Central Zone, with a mandate to raise and disburse funds for programs, services, and the purchase of medical equipment.
