The corner of 32nd Street and Gaetz Avenue in Red Deer will be the home of a new Central Alberta Co-op convenience store, gas bar and car wash.

On Friday, Central Alberta Co-op announced it has acquired the previous Go Auto dealership site on the southeast corner of the intersection. The same site was previously home to Northwest Motors.

The convenience store, which will be part of the 3,500 square-foot site, will offer a full refreshment counter, hot food, lotto sales and propane.

The gas bar project will offer both regular and diesel fuel. There will also be a tunnel car wash.

Co-op currently has convenience store and gas bar locations in east and northwest Red Deer.

“With the corner of Gaetz and 32nd being one of the best corners in Red Deer, Central Alberta Co-op looks forward to bringing this legacy project and the Co-op shield to the neighbourhood,” said CEO Gerald Hiebert.

“Being locally owned and operated, we are dedicated to being locally invested, community minded and to offering lifetime membership benefits.”
