Leanne MacMillan will be the new commander of the Maskwacis RCMP detachment.
MacMillan has been an RCMP member for 19 years, working in communities such as Vernon and Prince George, B.C., and Leduc.
She worked most recently with the Integrated National Security Team.
According to an RCMP release, “she will focus on crime reduction and community engagement, building on the strong ties between the RCMP and the community at large through meaningful dialogue on policing matters.”
